2023 Wrangler Trim Levels
There are 13 different models or variations of the 2023 Jeep Wrangler ranging from the entry-level Sport, Willys Sport, and Sport S to the high-end, opulent, four-door Rubicon 392. Jeep Wranglers for sale come standard with 4 X 4 all-wheel-drive (AWD) and come in black, bright white, earl, firecracker red, and high-velocity green, with the four-door Sahara High-Altitude available with hydro blue pearl.
The entry-level Sport has a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar Engine with six-speed manual transmission. The Sport, Sport S, and Willys Sport come standard with halogen headlamps, time-off delay, engine start/stop technology, and hands-free communication via a 7-inch (17.8cm) touchscreen Uconnect 4 multimedia center with wireless connectivity. The multimedia console has Apple CarPlay support and Android Auto capabilities.
The Sport's exterior includes 17-inch black steel aluminum wheels with 275 all-season tires and automatic headlamps. The Willys Sport has 17-inch MOAB black aluminum wheels, rubicon shocks, and a limited-slip rear differential. The Sport, Willys Sport, and Sport S come standard with an eight-speaker audio system. All three models come with four-wheel antilock disc brakes and advanced brake assist as safety features.
Four-Door 2023 Wrangler Variations
The four-door Wrangler variations include the 4-Door Sport S, 4-Door Sport Altitude, 4-Door Willys, 4-Door Sahara, 4-Door Rubicon, 4-Door Sahara Altitude, 4-Door Sahara High Altitude, and finally, the 4-Door Rubicon 392.
The 4-Door Sport has the same Uconnect 4 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto options but includes a command-trac 4X4 system and a black soft top. The 4-Door Sport Altitude is a slight upgrade over the 4-Door Sport with the addition of a black three-piece hardtop, black headlamps, grille inserts, and heavy-duty suspension gas shocks.
The remaining 4-door models have minor upgrades from one model to the next until a huge upgrade is made on the 4-Door Rubicon 392. These minor upgrades include the 32-inch mud terrain tires on the 4-Door Willys, the Alpine premium audio system, and full-color display on the 4-Door Sahara, off-road plus mode on the 4-Door Rubicon, and the all-black interior with leather-trimmed bucket seats of the 4-Door Sahara Altitude.
The 4-Door Sahara High Altitude has a three-piece hardtop and bumpers that match the color of the body of the vehicle, along with 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels. However, the real jump is arriving at the 4-Door Rubicon 392.
The 4-Door Rubicon 392 veers away from previous models with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine with eight-speed automatic transmission, Rubicon 392 suspension, a full-time 4WD system, and leather heated front seats. The Rubicon 392 is the most expensive offering but worth the expense. Its lavish interior matches a rugged exterior capable of handling any terrain.
Gas Mileage
The gas mileage ratings between the 2-door and 4-door versions are relatively comparable. The gas mileage for 2-door Wranglers with four cylinders and 2.0-liter automatic transmission is 22 mpg for city driving and 24 mpg for highway driving for a combined 23 mpg overall. The six-cylinder, 3.6-liter automatic transmission has a rating of 20 mpg for city driving and 24 mpg for highway for an overall rating of 21 mpg.
The 2-door manual offers a slight upgrade over the automatic transmission with 17 mpg for city driving and 25 mpg for highway driving for an overall rating of 20 mpg. 4-door versions of the 2023 Wrangler have varying gas mileage ratings. However, you should expect about 17 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway, and 19 mpg overall, depending on the 4-door model you purchase.
